Dedicated to developing and supporting the arts in Kuwait and throughout the region, Contemporary Art Platform (CAP) was founded in 2011 to promote art through exhibitions and educational programs. This non-profit private organization includes an art gallery where exhibitions of local, international, emerging, and established artists are presented by Arab and international curators. Exhibition tours are offered to school groups and regular workshops, seminars and film screenings, artist talks, and panel discussions are presented. CAP holds a growing permanent collection from different artists around the world, with a large portion dedicated to Middle Eastern Art. The Modern and Contemporary works vary from paintings and prints to photography and sculpture and can also be viewed online.
